Stephanie M. Jones is a social entrepreneur, global tourism strategist, cultural heritage tourism expert, educator, and curriculum developer whose work sits at the intersection of global travel, higher education, social sustainability, entrepreneurship, and cultural engagement. With more than 15 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Stephanie has dedicated her career to expanding access, visibility, and opportunity for historically underrepresented communities within global tourism and educational ecosystems.

Stephanie is the Founder and Managing Director of Disrupt for Change, a social enterprise focused on advancing equity, social sustainability, supplier development, and inclusive innovation across the global travel and tourism industry. She is also the founder of the Diversity Tourism Academy, an educational platform designed to prepare underrepresented tourism and hospitality professionals, entrepreneurs, museums, and cultural organizations for integration into the global tourism marketplace through industry-focused training and workforce development.

Her expertise spans cultural heritage tourism, tourism supplier development, curriculum design, entrepreneurship education, academic partnerships, destination engagement, and international tourism strategy. Stephanie previously served as a two-term appointee to the United States Travel & Tourism Advisory Board under the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she advised national tourism leadership on issues impacting the future of the U.S. travel and tourism industry. She has also served as a cultural heritage tour operator, travel advisor, speaker, adjunct educator, curriculum designer, and global tourism consultant working across domestic and international markets.

Currently pursuing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Leadership and Innovation at Purdue University Global, Stephanie's doctoral journey further informs her vision for B3D by deepening her research and exploration into global academic mobility, higher education innovation, entrepreneurship, social sustainability, and cross-cultural engagement. Through B3D, Stephanie seeks to leverage her unique combination of tourism industry expertise, educational leadership, cultural heritage experience, and global relationship-building to create transformative international deployment opportunities that expand access to global engagement for Black doctoral professionals throughout the African Diaspora.

Advisory Board Nominations

B3D is actively identifying scholars, higher education leaders, global engagement experts, and industry executives to serve on the inaugural Global Advisory Board. Advisory board members will help shape the strategic direction of B3D, provide guidance on destination development, and serve as ambassadors for Black global academic mobility and academic tourism.
